Officials of the insurance regulatory body in Nigeria,National Insurance Commision(NAICOM) have disclosed that Associated Airline plane that crashed earlier this week had no issurance prior the incident.
The Airline had earlier stated that the SEMA insurance had insured it and reinsured by NigeriarRE.
However,officials of NAICOM debunked the claim stating that there is no issurance company in Nigeria operating by that name.
Also a senior manager of Nigeria Reinsurance Corporation(NigeriaRE) said his company does not have business with Associated Airline.
The manager who spoke under condition of anonymity said "we are surprised,but we are also taking steps to find out why our name is mentioned"
